About Me

I have been a psychotherapist since 2000, and a Registered Clinical Psychologist since 2003. I received my BA in Psychology from UCD, and my Psy.D. degree from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2003. I have training and experience in psychological assessment and in using a variety of treatment psychotherapeutic treatment approaches including: Relational Psychodynamic Therapy; Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy; Trauma (EMDR) and attachment models; Mindfulness.

I have worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings, both in Ireland and the US prior to starting in private practice in 2007. I work with diverse populations including adults, adolescents and children. Prior to training as a Clinical Psychologist, I worked for several years in areas of Marketing and Human Resources, in a number of International Corporations. I still provides consulting services to organizations in areas of leadership development, team-building, psychological assessments, and employee engagement programmes.

I attend to my own professional development by attending regular professional supervision and ongoing CPD workshops. When not working, I recharges my batteries by playing with my son, watching movies, laughing with friends and family, and traveling. I strive to maintain balance with the help of mindfulness practices (especially yoga), diet and exercise, and my appetite for laughter and connection.
